We had the honor of attending the highly engaging event organized on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of RhodesMRC, an institution that has become a reference point in the field of academic simulations. The event, titled “The Importance of International Organizations in Our Era – Academic Simulations as a Tool for Advancing Youth Engagement,” took place in Athens at TMEDE.
An excellent panel of scientists talked about the importance of International Organizations in our time in an international environment marked by geopolitical challenges and constant developments, where traditional references are in question. At the same time, the event highlighted the role of academic simulations, not only as educational tools but also as mechanisms that cultivate democratic thinking, enhance participatory engagement, and prepare younger generations for active involvement in international affairs.
Among the distinguished speakers was the co-founder of Fotoessa Stefanos Vallianatos, Ph.D. in International Relations, Head of the International Relations Department of the Hellenic Foundation for Books and Culture and Head of the Greek Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation.
Fotoessa extends its warmest congratulations to RhodesMRC on its 15 years of progress! We wish for this remarkable institution to continue inspiring, educating, and empowering young people, shaping a new generation of active global citizens.
Participating in such events is always an invaluable experience, an opportunity for learning, networking, and exchanging ideas. We sincerely thank the organizers for the invitation and for the unique opportunity to engage with people who share common interests and a shared vision!
