Agora is a 18 month program for young people who have a good idea with a focus the cultural and creative industries (CCIs) that they want to make a reality!
We are looking for engaged and creative young participants who seek a career in the creative or cultural sector and have a great interest in learning from other people, as well as a belief in diversity and collaboration. Applicants should be between the ages of 18-28, situated in commuting distance from Malmö and have a personal project within the CCIs that they would like to develop during the process.
Participants who are accepted will be offered a year’s long mentorship program at FOTOESSA alongside four international training courses with other creative entrepreneurs from the partner countries. These will cover a range of topics including, business and project development in the CCIs, funding opportunities, production and events management, public space and theatre, contemporary dance and arts, as well as interactive project design and social innovation. The partner organizations have a vast range of experiences in the CCIs through which you will even gain access to an active international network of companies, organisations and individuals working in the CCIs.
The program is an Erasmus+ financed project led by STPLN in partnership with SwIdeas (Sweden), In Place of War (UK), Fabrica De Penusle (Romania) and Fotessa (Greece). All the activities are free of charge and the affiliated costs will be covered, however we cannot provide any salary or subsidy for participants. The first seminar will take place at Malmoe (Sweden), 13-18 of June 2018, the second at Manchester (UK), November 2018, the third at Bucharest (Romania), February 20198, and the last one in Athens (Greece), May 2019.
