It was a great privilege for Fotoessa, and Aspasia Protogerou ToT, in particular, to join the international training, organised by UNESCO and the Anna Lindh Foundation, on “Developing Intercultural Competencies through STORY CIRCLES”. STORY CIRCLES is an important resource for anyone concerned with effectively managing the growing cultural diversity within our societies to ensure inclusive and sustainable development.
The webinar was held on 17/5/21 by Darla Deardorff, exec.Dir. Association of International Education Administrators (USA), scholar with the Social Science Research Institute at Duke University and creator of the STORY CIRCLES methodology.
STORY CIRCLES is a proved effective, structured yet flexible tool for developing intercultural competence in a variety of contexts, both formal and informal, presenting an innovative adaptation of what could be considered an ancient tradition of storytelling found in many cultures.
